question about the calculation in a dc-dc buck converter ?

the dc-dc ic's(LM2596) original output current is only 3A,i want to boost it to 10A.
one way is to add mosfets ,but how to calculate the current i want ?

I don't think you can just add an external MOSFET to boost the output current of these switching voltage regulators ..
This "modification" will require more than that ..

If you need 10A output current much better alternative is to go for a 10A regulator (L4970 **broken link removed** , for example) ..
