I'm new to Altium and its scripting system but nonetheless I've been tasked with writing a script to take cable harness schematics, extracting a listing of how each pin in the connectors are connected and sending this to an activex control that will interface with an automatic cable tester.

My question is, does anyone know a nice way to use the scripting system (vbscript in this case) to determine which pin(s) or other device(s) a pin is connected to?

altium vbscript

Wouldn't you be able to accomplish what you need by processing the netlist? Trying to read that information directly from the schematic would be far more difficult than parsing a netlist.
