Hi all,

Have you ever used PCell from Tools menu in Layout Cellview? Here what I tried, but have nothing.:
- Open a layout cellview
- Click on "Tools" menu, and select "PCell"
Result: There is no window popped up. In CIW window, it shows " Loading pCellGen.cxt ..."

What should I do to make it work?

Many thanks,
A.T

Hey,

You have to just go few steps further to get that pcell. When you click that pcell button in your tools menu, it should open up a menubar PCELL (this will be in the line of the other menus 'option', 'connectivity' , routing etc.) Then you can draw your basic pcell and use the stretch commands to compile to a pcell. These details can be found in the cadence pcell reference manual by cadence.

If you are hoping to pop up a pcell on clicking the button...hard luck !
