question about pad placing?

Did anyone can tell me how to figure out the intergap between to io pads.Can them be placed one by one closely,I mean no gap between them.
 

you can find these guides in the technology file provided by foundry(IO library documents)
 

if io pads are not continuously placed, we need to use filler pads between them to have continuity.
 

Hi,

Most pad libraries are designed to allow butting the pad. However you should consult the data sheet. Find out what is the pad pitch. If the pad pitch is the same as the pad width, then sure you can butt them.
