I have questions below and i am new to network architecture, dont have previous background study. To solve this kind of question , do you have any suggestions about books or ...

1.Network Architecture: Consider a network where a fleet of busses traveling their routes are
used to collect and deliver data from wireless mailboxes that are mounted on each house.
a. How would you characterize the architecture of such a network?
b. How would your answer change if the busses changed their routes in response to traffic
on the road?
c. How would you characterize your answer if the houses were mobile homes that could
move about?
d. What types of applications would be best supported by such a network?
2. Cross Layer networking: The cross‐layer examples discussed in the lecture deal with lower layer
information propagating to upper layers. Can you think of an example where upper‐layer state
information could be propagated down to a lower layer and used to improve performance?
3. Network Architecture: Can you describe how you might take a TDMA system such as GSM and
convert into a packet based system (while keeping the time slot structure)?
