Re: question about Linux installation (can not start with Li

Hello!
You have what version Linux?

Re: question about Linux installation (can not start with Li

hi, the version is Linux 8.0

no one can solve this problem??

Re: question about Linux installation (can not start with Li

I think you have an old version of Linux. If this is Redhat 8, it is considered very old. Try newer version, like Fedora Core 5, and check if your laptop is suppored in it, before trying to install.

Please tell me your hardware (CPU, HD). Maybe your hardware is very new (such as SATA HD).

it is related with my lagtop's hardware?

Re: question about Linux installation (can not start with Li

Hi,
The problem can be due to incompatiability between the old OS andthe new hardware.
Its better you try REDHAT 9 or 10, and then see whether the problem persists

Thanks

your PCI_IDE device does not work well, maybe your linux version dont have it's driver, you may try other newer linux distributions
