hi, i'm working on some project and i need to reroute a calculator (i have casio fx-82ms and a chinese copy of it (which is really different from the inside)) i would like to connect the key's and display to my own micro-controller , the problem is the display , the connection has very small wiring so i can't connect it by hand and i can't develop a board with such small wiring for the screen, the screen size is 64x21 (couldn't find such screens on the net) is there a chance to find same screen but with more simple connection? is there any other way to bypass this problem?

can any one suggest a solution?
thanks.

Hi atikot,
As far as i know, it is hard to work with the casio calculator displays. Simple way to do is try interfacing nokia mobile phone displays. Nokia 1100, 3310, 6100 would be easy to work as they using standard SPI protocols. Googling may give u tutorials to start Google.

Second option would be trying Graphic LCD modules (such as 128x64 pixels or more) available in market. Interfacing is easy. For easier code generation for GLCD, you may get more idea here https://www.edaboard.com/threads/215418/

Hope this helps...

the problem with nokia display's that they wont fit into the calculator, the idea is to make it look like a standard calculator, the second option of finding exact lcd modules isn't going great either i can't find the exact size so it will fit
