what is qpss

Hi,

I am trying to simulate Mixer with QPSS analysis to view the harmonics and their distortions. Typically I was doing it with PSS and it is taking long time for simulation. As QPSS has less time to simulate I am trying tht but encountered a prblem as error which spectre reports as follows.

"Error found by spectre during Qusi Periodic steady state analysis:'qpss'

-vbb1:Waveform must specify a name using parameter 'fundname(2)' frequency 50K Hz for this analysis.

Can anybody tell me what this problem and why this is?? bb1 is one of input Pins. Is it due to the pin instead of the source??? I provided input by Spectre stimulus.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

qpss mixer

Hi,

you need to specify the second frequency name in the source properties window.

spectre

QPSS need at least two different input frequencies.

qpss analysis spectre

and the Qpss most likely used when the deference between the lo and rf is small
