Pull-Up at output of MCU

Hello,

According to datasheet of TPS25200 recommends user to use pull-up resistor at enable pin.

I am not sure if there will be any problem or not when i want to output_low when there is an pull-up resistor at output line?

Can you enlight me?

I use pull-down resistors at MCU output lines several time but in my new design i will use TPS25200. According to datasheet it recommends user to use pull-up resistor at enable pin

As I remember the PIC has internal weak pull-ups. you can maybe use them. Or use an external resistor like mentioned and explained in the datasheet of TPS25200.

You just need to size you pull up resistors big enough such that when you want to output a LOW, the current into the pin is not too much.

The datasheet will have the max current a pin can sink. The Vcc/R should be less than this current so that it doesn't damage anything.

In his case, the value of the pull-up res is already defined in the datasheet of TPS25200, 300k. The Pic should be able to sink this small current.
