Hi,

look here:

(it uses 16F84)

good luck

or I have armed circuits of that type but it wanted to obtain data of something but great in which it is possible even to be drawn like that Coca-Cola says that in fact this not writing but that this unfolding an image in bmp or in format GIF like the following example

propller control pic

I think it's possible to modify the mentoined clock to
drive a lot of RGB leds and you need to attach a CF card or something like that which stores the BMP
(it's much easier than decoding a GIF). And just
display the columns of the BMP on the LEDs with
proper timing.

how to control the leds when using handheld stick?

By using tilt switch or manually press switch.

how pic 12F629 know exact time to light up the led,and whick leds is light up?

microchip pic stick

I think its just a matter of timing and calibration.....

Just curious - how is an 8-pin µC controlling 8 LED's?

how to modify motor for propeller clock

can propeller displays be done , the ANALOG way? without using uControllers??

i would really love to make one, even a simple display will do... :)

can someone post schems?

That is a very interesting question. I've never considered
making one without a µC - thanks for the idea! I think this
could be done fairly easily. A clock would be challenging,
but just a display of stored data should be pretty straight
forward. Just thinking out loud here.......

1) The display uses 8 LED's.
2) Store data in a standard EPROM (27C256, etc)
3) Use a buffer between EPROM data lines and LED's
4) A pair of cascaded CD4040 binary ripple counters are
connected to EPROM address lines.
5) The counters are clocked with a 555 timer.

You'd have to do a lot of fine tuning on the motor speed
and 555 frequency. You could use a big EPROM or cascade
many EPROMs/CD4040's for a longer display time.

I think I might give this a try when I have some free time! :)

12f629 propeller clock

I created the "air display" (a kind of noisemaker that displays messajes). It uses only a 12F629 and drives 7 Leds. You can find the schematic and HEX code @ **broken link removed**. It doesn't use any sensor, it just timming. It have 15 pre-programmed messages. Right now, I'm working to create a new version that uses custom messages.

He has connected some LEDs in parallel.

Better to say, I think, diodes are in antiparallel positions...Four pins=eight diodes.

Hi,

Here are some asnwers:

Well see the attached link, and look at tip #2:
https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/40040b.pdf
I saw some where that they continued the idea and connected even more leds, i cant remember the ratio for number pines to leds.
how to control the leds when using handheld stick?
Well, if you know your start point, and the time that you got to your end point, you can divide that to segments, or degrees. Each degree you will light or turn off the leds, just like a 7 sement that uses leds...

dude! can you help me out? idd really love to make one.. for starters , i dunno if youve heard of DIODE rom??? i wanna create just a simple one... got no idea how to..... :) tnx

jose pino propeller clock

hi folks,

in what direction does -normal- propeller clocks rotate?? counter or clocwise???
i got a VCR head motor here but rotates ONLY in one direction.....

air display pic12f

An update.. ive done a -wand- message display... and I had to rotate it clockwise.... RC osc, problem is that sometimes when i push the switch, it wont work.. i mean the LEDs wont light.... and I knw that the SWitch is not the problem.... maybe changing the osc to a crystal would do.. and i need brighter LEDs at the output....
