Programmer for BIOS chips?

Can we construct a programmer to programme the BIOS chips in a motherboard like we do for a microcontroller?


My purpose to programe EEPROMS used in motherboards with respectivee BIOS externally. Any Software drivers available with hardwre details?

well i didnt get the question clearly but i have seen some programmers;which are very expensive for programming BIOS,eprom..
i now remembered that there was a site for the things like that but i cant find it now.pls. pm me.
