Problems with doing Sigma Delta ADC MX7705 interfacing

I've been doing interfacing with the Sigma Delta ADC MX7705 from Maxim, but unfotunately I can get it to works :(
I'm using AVR ATMEGA8535 as the uc. I've tried using SPI and usual serial communication(not RS232) using SHiftout and shiftin with BASCOM, but I can't get connected with the register in it?
Can somebody help me?
