Help Reqd ICD2

Hai
I have a new MPLAB ICD2. From microchip.
I have tested it with demo board (Microchip) with PIC18 chip.
Everything OK.
I have connected it with my own target board(16F877A) which is working alright without ICD, MCLR clean- only 10k resistor.
Self test is passing.

16F877A -ICD loads new operating system, but fails to write
Device ID is reading OK.
Not able to programme!!
.
Help me!

Re: Help Reqd ICD2

Be sure that:
1)You have downloaded into the ICD2 the firmware for the 16F's (MPLAB calls it 'Operating system') and that you've the right device selected.
2)If the pic get power from the circuit, be sure that the ICD2 is not powering it and if not, be sure that it does.
