Hi there, I have been simulating a system in matlab.

So Im not good with communication basics and im very new to it.

Here is the problem.

Im using rectpulse function from matlab, the it needs a sampling rate to generate rectpulse from random bits.

So the sampling rate is calculated using,

\[n=sampling frequency/bit rate,\]
\[n=sampling frequency*period\]

say period is Tb, bit rate is Rb, sampling frequency is fs.

\[Tb=1/Rb\]

So my problem is, i dont know the unit of n, as i understand n is the sampling rate, its not the sampling time, what it is actually, im really lost, i tried a lot of resources, i still dont understand.

How can i find out the maximum frequency. And say i want to generate different maximum frequency for this rectpulse, i should know the frequency first which i dont know now, i dont know how to change it, Please someone help me.

Thank you. Its urgent.
