icfb command not found

Hi all :]
I am newbie here ,
and first of all I want to say that this forum is very very usefull:]
BUT
even there was a lot of discussion here , (with subjects like "ic5141 help" , "ic5141 help please" ...etc )I still have a problems with that tool :[
(I mean problems with installing)
I've read almost 9 topics and find out that every single topic has different solution:
Someone says that "again , rh9 is too old , install RHEL"
So I installed both: RedHat 9 and RHEL 4 WS (update 6):
Than i installed ic5141 as shown in
**broken link removed**
Installation was successfull:Then I tryed to execute icfb
from /soft/cadence/ic5141/tools/dfII/bin and I get error ,
"cds_root command not found":
I changed my shell to csh and defined env. vars , but nothing worked:
Any ideas?

P.S.
I created small bash script called "cds_root" that returns my cadence path and put it in /usr/bin:
After this i executed icfb ,ICW window apear but nothing was work correctly:
(for example LibManager just hang up on startup )
Than I copy all files from /soft/cadence/ic5141/tools/dfII/bin to /usr/bin
and started icfb again:
At this time i was able to open schematic window , add some instances , load libs...etc , but i could not simulate the circuit...
I think this was not correct solution for my problem , isn't it?

Thank you:
P.S.S
LOL ,I forgot to change my subject to "HEE...EEEEEELP" as usual newbies wrote :)))

bash: icfb: command not found

You should not copy files of IC5141 to system dirs such as /usr/bin.
I suggest you use cshell. Later I will post my IC5141 setup portion from my .cshrc file.

cds_root: not found

Thank you:
Actually I preffer to use "bash" :]
Please , post your configuration soon as posible :
This is realy important for me ( :[ exams )
And another question , does anobody used NCSU libs for IC5141 ????

P.S.
And sorry for my terrible english :]

cadence icfb hang

it's license file problem

cds_root: command not found

if u really want it to run with less flows in it, use CentOS version 4.
u dont have to change the bash, still with that u can manage it, and about the pdk u mentioned it, i installed and used last year, it worked fine for me. also still i didnt understand where exactly u have the problem, make it clear.

P.S.
about the pdk, dont use the beta version with ic5141, becouse the new pdk( beta) is for the ic610 which uses the Openaccess for libraries.

cheers

ic5141 openaccess

Hey all,
I found that I was trying to execute bash script called .icfb instead of icfb.exe (executible)
loooool it was sooo stupid :]]]]
(Appart from that I forgot to do "source" , thats why "icfb" command returns "command not found" error ):
Well , everythink is now woring correctly:
Also i've properly installed CDK libs:)

Edaboard - Thanks a lot (!)

P.S.
An interesting fact:
Who knows , how this guy (who posted this manual -> **broken link removed**
found out that there are some C files that must be changed before loading softload?

./icfb : cds_root:

You should set PATH and LM_LICENSE_FILE (or CDS_LIC_FILE) properly before you start icfb. "cds_root command not found" because "$cds_root/tools/bin" isn't a part of $PATH.

icfb installation copy

yup :) thank you :]
Listen people , i have properly installed NCSU_CDkit ,(this was very usefull) now i want to work with 45n technology , so i downloaded NCSU_FreePDK1.1.1.
It is posible to run this libs from IC 5141? or i need IC 610?
