problem with hex file generated by mplab ide

Hi guys,

I have a problem trying to import any ".HEX" file with MPLAB 6.5, in order to program a device with PICSTART-PLUS / ICD2.

After selecting FILE/IMPORT and picking any ".HEX" file, MPLAB refuses the file, and open a window with the following message:

"The format of the file [selected filename] can not ber read or written because its extension was not recognized"

Extension is "HEX", but MPLAB doesn't recognize it.

Any ideas...?
Thanks

mplab 6.5

Several hex format exist. For example INTEL16, INTEL32, swap mode or not etc. Are you sure that you have the correct one?

Re: Problem with MPLAB-IDE

I updated MPLAB to version 6.60 and the problem went away

Thanks
