Problem with FM radios interference

There are 2 FM radios placed adjacently .THe first FM radio is tuned at 100Mhz.
The second is being tuned at 100-10.7=89.3Mhz.In doing so the first FM radio stops playing.WHy?

i think the second radio is using 100MHz as local oscillator frequency while tuning 89.3MHz and this signals strength is disturbing the received signal of the first radio due to its proximity....
