Hi all,
I am using code banking in AT89c51RE2.my controller is not switching between functions at different banks. The controller skips the functions defined at banks other than the current bank.however the functions work properly if coded to use the same bank. Also i dont know how to use the dual data pointer concept here.i guess that could be a problem. plz help me.thanks in advance.

with regards,

Hi,

found a short application note about function pointers and bank switching, may be it helps to understand the mechanism. Although it is for a specific compiler, the way to do it should become a bit more obvious.

Hope this leads you on the right track.
