op-amp problem

i tried to amplify the output of my walkman using op-amp but the problem is i had to use a capacitor from negative supply to the (+)input and then only i get output and that too distorted....
so someone help me please...

op-amp problem

can you explain more carefully?

Re: op-amp problem

if u explain better what are you trying to do ......
the outout of the walkman ....where does it go?
to your speaker?

op-amp problem

amplify walkman?o, god, why do it by yourself?

Re: op-amp problem

Probably you would need a power amplifier and not a normal Opamp

The small load resistance of the speakers would need a high current handling capability which cannot be provided by normal Opamps...

Re: op-amp problem

Do u want for your speakers, then try op-amp with class AB output stage, they are good for audio applications.

Ru planning to design the opamp or else off the shelf.
