HI................................................................
I am new user of PIC micro-controller
I use PIC 16F877A , mikroC compiler , WinPic800 and jmd programmer witch I attached it's circuit
and I wrote this simple code for led blinking on PORTC.4

Every things works perfectly and the LED blinking
But my problem is when I touch the micro-controller with my finger , the LED stop blinking and on sometimes the program of micro-controller erase especially if I touch PGD or PGC pin.
What I have to do.

Re: Pic 16F877A problem

You need to disable low voltage programming.

Alternatively connect a 1K resistor from PGM pin to ground

Re: Pic 16F877A problem

Thanksssssss
It is working

But do you have the reference document about this event ?
And if I connect a 1K resistor from PGM pin to ground , is it possible to use this pin as digital input or output ?

You just need to disable low voltage programming and it will work...
Even no need to ground it....

and the pin can be used as input output pin,,
i am using this configuration last many years
