basically i want 4 different voltages level to be assigned. now the four different levels must be +5, +3, -3, -5. now i am unable tyo do this because the operational amplifier is not working as its layout specifies. please guide me for both inverting and non-inverting behavior.

Can you explain more clearly what you are trying to do?
Are you trying to build a voltage follower and switch its input to various voltages?

Hi,

I would recommend that you use another op-amp instead, the 741 is no good in this voltage range. The TLC25L2 or the SA5230 would probably work in your application.

Can you show us a schematic of your circuit and tell us what voltages you expect and what you are measuring?

Try another 741, maybe you grabbed a dead one.

Ante, the 741 works fine in this voltage range.
