hi friends
I have a Problem for install modelsim in redhat linux.I installed it deficultly (becuase i m new in linux) and downloaded modelsim from:
https://www.altera.com/download/dnl-index.jsp
(modelsim starter edition)
so, i have 10.1_modelsim_ae_linux.sh and redhat.
altera tutorials says:
tar -xf modeltech-altera-unix-<version number>.tar
cd modelsim/unix
./install.ms
but its not worked for me.
could some one help me to install it, i am really need it.

I m changing my redhat to other version and could installed modelsim carefully,
But I have another problem, How could I run modelsim?
Does any one could help me to do that?

Perhaps you can start it by typing "modelsim" in a console.

But it doesnt worked for me.
 

In face,modelsim is a binary program exists in linux.So the first step you should find out which its real binary name, go to the modelsim installation directory and find the directory named like 'bin';the second is execute the binary program ,easily type the name in the terminal console.
