hello,
i want to use two devices GPS module & GPRS modem which are transmitting their data through Serial Port, but my controller has only one serial port so the problem is that both the units are working continuously so how should i interface two units with a one single channel serial port controller. Please help me.

Thank You

Hi,

You don't mention what micro or complier you are using, the easiest way is to use a second Softare Usart though two standard i/o pins.

i am using AT89C52 micro controller with keil uvision3 compiler.is it possible to use USART for communicating with two different units at the same time.
