hi,

regarding DSP studying

what are the prerequisites topics in math/analog_signal_processing/in_general

do I need to have a strong foundation
which help me in studying digital signal processing and digital filter design
and understand it well , preparing me for Dsp implementation of Comm systems,
multimedia and image processing, if there is a graph for prerequisites it will be very
helpful.

Newer courses or books require knowledge in Linear Algebra and vector spaces. And recommend some familiarity with with probability theory and Matlab (or equivalent).
 
thnx ... but I'd like to ask; in designing digital filters is it required to know analog filter design previously????
 

well, not really. but it could be of advantage.
