Precision Synthesis Vs. Synplify

Hi Friends,

I want to know the better synthesis tool between Precision Synthesis and Synplify. I have seen trend that industry people use synplify more and universities use Precision Synthesis. Is it correct? What are the reasons?

Currently, for FPGA synthesis, Synplify is dominant. I never used Precision which I heard offers similar result to synplify.

We also use Synplify to synthesis FPGA. I never heard anyone use Precision.

I know user base of Synplify is larger than Precision Synthesis. But why? I have read that Synthesis time in Synplify is shorter but Precision give more accurate result especially for ASIC designs.
