Hi
any one know how do i seperate two planes in a layer.??

i did these steps but end up only one plane is connected.
Layer defination => Split/Mix Cam
Add net 1.5V & 3.3V
Draw Plane => Middle to left board is 1.5V net
Middle to right board is 3.3V net
Setup => Flood => plane connect ( only the particular layer name is there )

strange for ur question.Are u sure that:
(1)Attach +1.5V net to your split power outline
(2)If you assign a visible color for your +1.5V net ?
Maybe it is flood, but you not see it :)
........................

Taring77, in layer definition, are split/mixed selected and the +1.5V net in menu ?

Then select the split outline and check, if are in correct layer and the net are associated to split plane area.

Let me know, skywalker.

Layer defination => Split/Mix Cam
Add net 1.5V & 3.3V
After u add the net follow this procedure

1.Set the autoseparate gap as 50mil

To set this value plz follow this path.....
Goto preferences -->split mixed plane--> auto separate gap(50)

2.Select the board outline right click and select create plane area and assign any one of the nets' to it.

3.Now do follow the steps as below to reach ur destiny

Goto preferences -->split mixed plane--> auto separate gap(cutomer requirement)

Before u get started plz enable the select anything option....

now
Click on the board outline--> right click autoseparate-->draw plane area to split the net--> assign the appropriate net name..

follow the same above procedure if more nets are in ur design
