Could a pcb file in PADs be saved as low version?

I have no way to edit/ view PADs 2005 files using POWERPCB5.0:cry:

Export file as ascii (.asc) file then import it in to the powerpcb 5.0. It should work.

thanks.......i will try it!!

I thought it is a text-format file ...like netlist file...

Could it be used for Orcad CIS, or protel, did you do that?:D

No i didn't. I don't think that programs import .asc file but i'm not sure.

If u want to import to protel, u should export .asc file as 3.5 version(powerpcb).

i tried once but it create errors...........
and failed.

There cannot be 100% free from error against different format conversion. The sofware itself also declare this matter.
