Hi Everyone!

For powering a microprocessor with a 3.7 volt liPoly battery, is the voltage regulator is neccessary? I know that would be better but 3.7 to 3.3v regulators are quite hard to find.

Also, what is your power setup for using liPoly as main source for micrcontroller projects?

Thanks.

Hi,

Use a LDO , Low Voltage Dropout regulator, loads around and cheap - just google.

Hi,
Since the difference is so little, you need a low voltage dropout regulator - an LDO regulator. The important thing to look at here is the dropout voltage at your desired current output. There are loads around, but this guide should help you find something suitable:

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.
