Not many of us can afford the publishers fees where much of the state of the art gets published, however there is a great search tool that I use.

This gives access to a huge range of free (full, not just abstracts) PDF articles that are free to access.
It's growing all the time, but just as a guide start with a single 'key' word to search and narrow down if you get too many hits.
