Can anyone please tell me which tools are used for power grid analysis and which ones are better in terms of performance, usability, debug info. e.t.c.,

Thanks and regards,

You can use AstroRail for static analysis. It's a garbage-in-garbage-out tool, can be painful to debug. Support both flat and hierarchical analysis for big design. Performance wise, flat analysis is good enough for block level but fullchip is an issue for 65nm and beyond.

Hi,
The voltage Storm of cadence is really for analyzing the power drawn by the grid.

VoltageStorm can do similar static analysis like AstroRail but it goes one step further. VoltageStorm can do device extraction.
