I wanted to know what connections are made to the main power distribution system and to the users homes from a power distribution transformer.

Usually three high voltage links are connected to the main power lines but I dont know how the users are connected.

a diagram would really help
 

residential they are just taken off phase and neutral.

say all houses in street are" in parallel"
