Main assumption of this design was to create an amplifier to operate in a room. This device uses power amplifier from Creative and bridged TDA 8511J. The amplifier consists of the following parts:
  • preamplifier

  • power amplifier on TDA 8511J

  • meter based on TA 7666P

  • power supply

All PCBs except the preamplifier were designed in AutoCAD. The power supply consists of a transformer of secondary voltages 12,5V and 10V (120VA), 10A bridge, capacitors 2x4700uF, fast safety fuse 4A, stabilizer L7812 to power the preamplifier. 10V winding has a separate bridge and it supplies the meter. There is an additional potentiometer at the input of the meter in order to adjust the sensitivity of the system and LP filter to reduce the reaction to treble. The whole device is closed in an universal housing.
