power added efficiency

hi there...what does actually meant by power added efficiency and 1dB compression point?
 

as far as i know power efficiency is ratio of output RF power to input rf power plus DC power
1dB compression point is the input power level that reduces the gain of output signal by 1dB
 

The Power added efficiency (PAE) is defined as

PAE=(Pout-Pin)/Pdc.

Pout and Pin are at fundamental freuquency.
Pdc is the DC dissipated power.

The definition of power effiency (η) is

η = Pout/Pin.
