Touchpad

Hi Friends,

Now i m designing a "PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER"..I have to include Touch Pad in my

product.. I don't know the concept of Touch Pad and its controller .. Can anyone

help me?

Thank u all

Re: Touchpad

ok. i tried once..

materials...
1..a laser point mouse not wireless (recommended)
2..scotch tape or glue
3..a small cardboard box equal of the mouse size.

Try to open the mouse shell and remove the pointer circuit without any damage. U need only this so the card board u have to fit it must be small.
insert the pointer in the box and make a small hall for the cable.
Now put the pointer INVERTED UP SIGHT DOWN.
The distance from the pointer to the upper side of the box must be less than 2cm. That's why the choice of the box is crucial
Now cover Firmly the box (like a dark room) and put at top as a cover a glass of the size if the box and attach behind the glass a white paper...
Now u r ready to test it.

Keep trying
Bye

Re: Touchpad

portable media player?
what platform are you using, which is the processor you are designing with ,MIPS?
Is it an OS based system? Does it have an RS232/USB interface?

by the way agis68,
does this work for a portable media player,if so,im curious to have a look at it.
