plz need an idea to measure ac

hi how r u ? i need help to measure Ac voltage and current by microcontroller pic 16f877 i need to measure 24V ac i dont have the idea of using A/D to measure AC ok plz give me ur opinions

here is a application for a pic that uses the a-d
you can get an idea or two from this what to do
i rebuilt the code sometime ago and sed a pic877

a nice probe but has its limits i think youll need to use a small divider circuit
or atleast some modifications are needed to allow it to run
