normally pll loop filter design is done using behavioral simulators, there are few available on internet

Hi

There can be 2 answer to your question:

If you design a discreate PLL circuit you should teak the advice from ankitgarg0312

If you are using an IC pll most of the manufacture provide some application note show you how to design the loop filter

You can try National,Freescale. and analog device for pll application note

Search for MC145170 (not sure whether it is manufactured anymore) the data sheet will show you how to design the loop filter

Is any body aware about the filter designs (i need to have a first order filter and a lead lag filter) to be used in PLL design with LM 565.
