plz help me for the switching of TRIAC

i have a 2 main line of 220 Volt AC Supply.i want to control it and i want to work
1 line at a time and 2nd is off while 2 is working than 1 line is off.i use a
Triac in the phase of the both line which are parallel.
we give a 4 volt +ve only one gate at a time and 2nd is off.

plz tell me this diagram is true and in this way can we handle it(220 AC)?
and tell me the Triac number which can u use for this purpose.

Hi,your circute will work but you need to use pull down resistor to ground for more stability, and for the value of the triac you can simply use BT136 please refer to it's datasheets for more information.

and also tell me the resister value and its wattage.
 

Hi, you can simply use 10k resistor to ground.
