i want to understand multiplexing and want to make count meter 4 digit

with 89c51 i need asm code

Here's pseudocode for what you want:

for each digit
    select digit i by grounding common cathode
    apply seven-segment drive for this digit
end for

This code will need to sequence through the digits at least 40Hz or faster.
However, don't scan too fast since that will reduce the apparent LED brightness.

The multiplexing part will be understood as you get the seven segment display working in sequence.

In regards to ASM compiling: try keil or sdcc which have a free version or limited version and accomodate C code. So you dont have to deal with ASM.

If you want ASM
essentially you could use the data bus and connect each one to a different segment..etc.
