Please help !!! Sound activated curcuit.

Hey people of superior intelligence, you maybe able to save a strangers degree. Like I say I’m in my 3rd year of a broadcast engineer degree , and for my final project I plan on creating a sound activated circuit that will switch between four setting on a Techtronix WFM. I have come across a circuit diagram that I believe may do the job, the link is below. My question is how the circuit would be able to control four things from a single microphone? Any help or advice would be amazing!! Thankss

I think you can't use that circuit for your project. first you should save 4 voices in a memory. after that use micro controller for executing a commands.
