Is it possible to insert a figure in .emf format to latex?

No, it's not

Sorry to say, but you have to convert into png or jpg if you plan to upload it to the web.

One program that is capaple to do so is IrfanView.

Haven't tested it, but I guess no web-browsers can read emf-files.
