obstacle sensors with range

Hi,

Is it possible to detect obstacle using atmega32 and a sensor?
What type of sensor do i need for this?
It's urgent.
Please mention.

Idea:
If someone is in a range of that sensor the led will be lightened.
How can I make this circuit?
Can anyone provide such circuit design using atmega32?

pir 13 atmega

You need to be more specific if you want an informative reply.

Is the obstacle a molecule, an elephant, a ghost, smoke or what?

What you are trying to detect determines the best technology to do the job.

Brian.

Suppose we have a sensor.
It will detect a human being if a man appears in a certain range of that sensor.

Is it possible to do with atmega32?

Thank you.

use PIR sensor
Thanks.
Can you please give the circuit diagram to connect PIR sensor with atmega32?
In proteus can't find PIR sensor.
