plc communication ???

if i want the plc " micro plc " communicate with microcontroller chip ,how can i do that ?
can plc communicate through rs232 or any rs type ?
if yes , what is the pin configuration ?
and if i can put all the output statues in a register and want the plc to send this through serial cable ??
if anyone have an idea , please speak on
