i want to play a sound with a mega88 mcu.

I want to store the sound in a memory (fix memory) and play the sound.

The mcu has only pwm does not have a DAC.

Does anyone have a algorithm and a schematic how to implement this

Thanks in advance.

i do not want a very good quality. i want to send the voice throw the telephone line.

So maximum frequency 4kHz.

I have produced some tones with 8051 long back using square waves, but IMO its bit hard to produce voice using square waves, because of variable amplitude present in voice.
