pin diode switch

hello,
I need to know if this design works
**broken link removed**
I intend to use it for 1296MHz without the output filters.

What scares me is that there is no power supply to switch the diode on. It seems he has connected the diode directly to the transmitter without using a capacitor and the diode is somehow switched by the transmitter signal??

Is so will it work on say 10mW of power?
