Pick and Place robot

hi guys..
Im doing a project on pick and place robot. How can I start with ??
Programming need to be done in c. Please share if you have knowledge of it. Thanks in advance.
 

"Pick and Place" means you are trying to make a Robotics Arm.
If yes,
you need to have few servo motors,a micro controller board,grippers and think of a mechanism to grab object,i have attached a YouTube link

Above Mechanism requires 1 worm gear,2 spur gears and a motor(preferably servo motor)
Electronics:
Start studying about generating PWM using microcontrollers,(how to drive servo motors)

Although as its xmas they are out of stock :)

I was looking at one yesterday, seems like a good thing to experiment with.

But maybe not good enough for smt components.

So what do you want to "pick and place" ??
