PICC - program should work, but it doesn't

PICC

hi!
i did a program in Pic-c and i know that maybe is so basic, therefore is the problem becouse i know that it haves to run right but no, ok this is:

while ( !input(PIN_B0) );
{
output_high(pin_B4);
output_low(pin_B6);
gato=1;
}

while ( !input(PIN_B1) );
output_high(pin_b6);
output_low(pin_b4);

gato=0;
}

in advance thankful!!

Hi,
I do not know about the logic behind your code. But I thik you need to configure your ports correctly to function as input & output according to the function used in your code.
