i've completed a PIC project to control LED's. im looking to control a light bulb instead of LED, how would i do this?i i've googled this problem and i came with optocoupler or/and solid-state relay if thats exactly what i need can someone provide/help about how to connect them into the PIC18F4550 pinouts ?? and schematic example will be very appreciated
the MOC3041 is not available in the local market right now so im searching for alternative i've found the G2Rl-1A-E Solid-State rely and EL817 optocoupler, so if you can provide me an schematic example of connection to control 220 V or lets say a light bulb, i have attached my starting circuit.
well, im using Relay (solenoid) and i dont think i need heatsink, one looks like the one in the picture you attached, the frequency of turning on/off is about 50 seconds, yes these bulbs are working on normal main 220V is in my country.
actually i dont have much working experience on AC im looking to find an isolated circuit not to destroy my DC one. the available components for me now are G2Rl-1A-E and EL817 photocoupler. the isolated and safe connection is what im looking for.
This informations changing things. It is very important to present properly complete scenario.
On all out pins You can use resistor with small signal transistor. Each transistor will activate its relay.
What is very important. When looking for relays to buy pay attention on : coil resistance (better to be higher 400R,500R), permited max voltage on contact points for DC and AC current, working voltage, case smaller and sealed, arrange of pins look that if can contact points to be further from solenoid contacts,...
