Hi,

I would like to program 16f73 by either real ICE or ICD2. Do any one cal me the circuit diagram?

Hi,

Those programmer are high end devices - do you really need such a costly solution ?

The diy Pickit2 covered all over this forum will program it if you use its stand alone program - it will not work from within MPLAB.

Alternatively, use one of the many other pic chip that the Pickit2 or other serial /parallel programmers will burn

Dont forget the ICD2 and PK2 both need a pic chip to be program up to make them work.

Again search this form for details.

I am using MPLAB V8.5. I have Real ICE/ ICD2. I need circuit diagram to program the PIC16F73 with the same. I have connected 100Ohm resistor in series with PGC and PGD. The MCLR bar connected by 100Ohm resistor in series and 10K pullup and getting the Voltage caution that is with the thread.

Hi friend

I am using MPLAB V8.5. and I use ICD3 as well as PicKit 3 for In Circuit Serial Programming since last one year.

I have connected 100Ohm resistor in series with PGC and PGD. The MCLR bar connected by 100Ohm resistor in series

Remove these series resistor from PGC, PGD as well as from MCLR.

Direct connect this three line of PIC16F73 with ICD2/ Real ICE.
as well as Vdd and GND line of Pic16F73 are also connect with ICD2 Directly.

Apply +5V Vdd externally to PIC16F73(Target Device) at programming time.

In MPLAB IDE, Select from menu Programmer ==> Select Programmer ==> Real ICE.

Hope this is help you
Shyam
