We do not program 16FXXX with MPLAB_C18!!
This compiler is made to compile program for 18FXXX, and MPLAB_C30 for dsPIC30FXXXX!
To compile programs in C code for PIC12, PIC16 & PIC17 u can use Hi-Tech C Compiler for exp.
