Hi!

I have built a PIC-PG1 programmer (se https://www.olimex.com/dev/pic-pg1.html) and I have gone trough the design over and over, but it refuses to program my PIC16F870.

I belive that I´m short in voltage (about 10,5v for MCLR) so maybe its my serial port that is the problem.

Now, can anyone tell me how to check this with a multimeter?
What voltage on wich pin?

For the two zeners I used a BZX55/C6V2 and a BZX55/C5V1.

Please help me!
Regards!

Replace combination LED, D3 with zener 8V2. This should solve your problem .
